This week on the H&M Trucking Podcast, We’ll welcome the safety team from H&M, Dean Edmunds, Cynthee Crawford, Shelly Bridger and Destinee Andrews, to discuss everything surrounding summer.  The kids are out of school, the RVs are out in force, and the motorcycles are hitting the road, so we’ll spend some time discussing the safety aspects of the change of the seasons.  After that, we’ll welcome Sherry Vogler and Michaela Monjaraz from recruiting to play some games and share some laughs.

This week on the H&M Trucking Podcast, we're discussing productivity and time management with Van Department Manager Brian Gernandt and Director of Operations Ryan Holm. We'll discuss positive and negative trends among the departments, and Brian and Ryan will also touch on expectations and accountability. After that, we'll bounce all of it off of H&M drivers Ryan Taves and Zach Beckman for their feedback and thoughts.

This week on The H&M Trucking Podcast, we’re giving credit where credit is greatly overdue. We’ll heap some praise on the accounting department during an enlightening conversation with Lorraine Simpson and Holly Duncan. They will share their accounting expertise to help us clear up some confusing aspects of record keeping. We’ll also be joined by H&M driver Teddy Arnold to catch up and talk about everything under the sun!
 
 

This week on the H&M Trucking Podcast, we’re talking about RESPECT for our nation’s drivers.  Safety Manager for H&M Trucking Dean Edmunds will join us to talk about the safety that happens outside the truck, and what 4 wheelers can do to be more safe around trucks.  The we’re joined by H&M driver Tom Woods, who will give us a driver’s perspective on the topic.
 
BOB’S BIG RIG CAFE RECIPE
GROUND MEAT MIXTURE
This is the basic beginning of so many recipes like Spaghetti, Tacos, Stuffed Bell
Peppers... even Hamburger Helper. I simply prepare one of these dishes while at
home and cook an extra pound of Ground Meat at the same time.
MEAT
Ingredients
Gound Meat
Onion
Spices - Salt/Pepper or Tony Cachere’s Creole Seasoning
Quart Size Freezer Bags
 
Preparation
Cook Ground Meat with diced Onion
Drain extra fat
Add whatever spices you wish
Mix Well
 
Storage
Allow the mixture to cool a bit
Place approx. 1⁄2 cup in Freezer Bags
Place them on a cookie sheet or something flat and freeze
*** This way, they will take up less room in the truck freezer ***

Nachos, Shepherd’s Pie, Hamburger Mac & Cheese, Burritos, etc.
SHEPHERD'S PIE
Ingredients
Ground Meat Mixture (from home)
Small Can Green Beans
Tub of Instant Mashed Potatoes
Shredded Cheese (optional)
Salt/Pepper
Paper Bowl
 
Preparation
Ground Meat Mixture (approx. 1/3 bowl)
Drain Green Beans and add to bowl
Prepare Mashed Potatoes according to directions
Dump the Potatoes on top of the Meat and Beans.
Add Cheese and salt/pepper if you wish

Episode 56 of the H&M Trucking Podcast is all about communication.  If we don’t communicate effectively, we can’t effectively do our jobs.  Tim Gray, Brenda Hampton, and drivers Tony Bertholf and Arvin Knox Jr will join us for a roundtable concerning communicating properly.  After that, Denny and Marcus will cover some breaking industry news and read a passage from a driver on a cross-country road trip.

Service and Equipment Manager Jim Musel joins us to address some trends he's seen recently, then we have a roundtable with 3 H&M drivers, Candace Clough, Cy Bouchard, and Barry Helveston. Finally, Office Service Specialist  Janey Helms joins us to address a few of the concerns the drivers brought up.

After that, Marcus and Denny are joined by H&M’s Controller Patty Rupp, who walks us through the changes and potential after effects they may carry.
